Apr 27, Kathmandu- A rape complaint has been filed against the mayor of Dudhauli Municipality in Sindhuli. A woman from the district has filed a police complaint alleging that Mayor Adhikari raped her.

The woman has also stated that she gave birth to a child after the rape. The complaint states that Mayor Adhikari raped her in a guest house room in the district.

The complaint states that she was raped in the third/fourth week of Baisakh 2081. The complaint states that she then gave birth to a son in Falgun 2081.

Mayor Adhikari was elected as the mayor of Dudhauli on behalf of the Maoists. According to the police, an investigation has been initiated into this incident.
