Suspicious Death Of One At Lalitpur Correctional Center, Three People Including The Operator Arrested

Apr 27, Kathmandu- A person lodged at the Biswas Nepal Rehabilitation Center (Correction Center) in Badikhel, Godawari-4, Lalitpur has died. The deceased has been identified as 48-year-old Dawa Ghising, police said. Ghising, a resident of Gokaneshwor Aruwari, Kathmandu, was taken to the rehabilitation center in Lalitpur three days ago by his family to help him overcome his addiction to excessive alcohol.

Ghising was taken to Namaste Metro Hospital in Bandegaon after he developed health problems on Saturday night. According to SP Narahari Regmi of the District Police Range, Lalitpur, doctors declared him dead at 11 pm while taking him to the hospital for a check-up.

Police say that Ghising suddenly vomited fizz from his mouth on Saturday night and died on the way to the hospital. Relatives of Ghising, who lives in Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality-7 of Sindhupalchowk, have protested in front of Namaste Metro Hospital in Bandegaon. His body has been sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for postmortem.

During the performance, there was a clash for a while. The police is investigating the incident. Three people, including the rehab operator Sujan Marahajan, have been arrested during the investigation.

Those arrested are Sujan Marahajan, 45, of Godawari 12, Lalitpur, Bhaskar Budhathoki, 34, of Tikathali, who works at the same rehab, and Anuj Nepal, 45, of Kausaltar. They have been sent to the Satdobato Police Station for investigation.
