Apr 27, Kathmandu- Nepali Congress proportional representation lawmaker Maya Rai will remain in custody for three days.

The District Court, Kathmandu, has granted permission to keep MP Rai, who was arrested from Kapan yesterday on charges of embezzlement of a cooperative, in custody for three days for investigation.

Police arrested her from her residence in Kapan last night, allegedly involved in the Swarnalakshmi cooperative fraud and organized crime case.

The police have already informed Speaker Devraj Ghimire about her arrest through a written letter.
