MPs Demand Prompt Resolution Of Teachers' Demands

Apr 29, Kathmandu- MPs have demanded that the demands of the agitating teachers be addressed immediately.

During today's zero hour meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Bhagwati Chaudhary said that a solution to the teachers' agitation should be found soon. She urged for the provision of fire engines to manage the risk of fire incidents in public places, commercial centers and other places.

MP Bhanubhakta Joshi also accused the government of not paying attention to the demands of the agitating teachers and said that the government should take the initiative to return them to school as soon as possible.

MP Man Bahadur Gurung drew the government's attention to building the necessary infrastructure now that Pokhara has been declared the tourism capital.

MP Manish Jha demanded that the property details of the ministers be made public. MP Mahendra Bahadur Shahi drew the government's attention to addressing the demands of all the agitating parties in a timely manner.

MP Mahesh Kumar Bartaula said that the Nijgadh 'Fast Track', which is a project of national pride, should be constructed on time. He suggested that since the road section is about 53 kilometers long and falls in Makawanpur, connecting the access point from Sisneri Dobhan to the Fast Track would benefit Lalitpur, Makawanpur, Dhading and Chitwan.
