Apr 29, Kathmandu- CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has taken over the guardianship of children from orphaned and martyred families.
During an educational program organized at Karmeshwor Secondary School in Bhajani Municipality-5, Chairman Prachanda announced that he will take over the guardianship of Nindu Raji, a student of the minority Raji community, studying in grade 3, and Anisha Tharuni, a student of grade 10 from the martyred family.
He also expressed his commitment that the party and himself will shoulder the entire responsibility for the education and future development of these children. At the program, Chairman Prachanda released the educational calendar and handed over bags containing educational materials to Nindu Raji and Anisha Tharuni.
Technical education was started in the school on the initiative of former Education Minister Girirajmani Pokharel. The program was attended by teachers, students, parents, and party leaders and activists.
Chairman Prachanda stated that the party has always been committed to the education and future of children without parents and from martyred families, and expressed the view that the issues raised by the Maoist movement on the issue of social justice and equality are still relevant.
