Bus Lost In Dharan Found In Biratnagar, Parts Found To Be Sold

Apr 29, Kathmandu- A passenger bus stolen from Dharan, Sunsari, has been found in Biratnagar.

The bus, number 9749 of Province 1-02-001, which was stolen from a garage in Durgapath, Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-8 on Friday morning, was found in Manggabar, Biratnagar Metropolitan City-12, four days later.

The missing bus parts were found in Biratnagar on Tuesday afternoon after being removed from the garage. The owner of the bus is Harendra Chemjong.

According to police sources, the parts of the bus kept in Biratnagar-12 were found in a Kawadi warehouse operated by Geeta Devi Shah in Biratnagar-6.

The bus that was stolen on Friday was seen on CCTV footage coming towards Biratnagar via Khorsane on the East-West Highway. But the bus was not found.

Locals had informed the police after the bus was seen abandoned on Tuesday afternoon. Police said they are searching for the gang that stole the bus.

The front glass of the bus that runs on the hilly route has Siddhadevi Yatayat written on the top and Yakthung Yatayat on the bottom.
