Apr 29, Kathmandu- The Customs Bill has been passed by the House of Representatives.
In the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel had presented a proposal to pass the Customs Bill. Which was passed by the House.
This bill was introduced by the previous government. The then Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat registered it in the House of Representatives on 18 Ashwin 2080.
It reached the Finance Committee under the House of Representatives for clause-wise discussion on 18 Chaitra 2080. It was passed by the Finance Committee and went to the Assembly on 14 Baisakh 2081. The Assembly passed it on Tuesday.
Now this bill will go to the National Assembly. After being passed by the National Assembly, it will come back to the House of Representatives. It will reach the President through the Speaker. After the President verifies it, it will be implemented as an act.
