Pakistan Shoots Down Indian Spy Drone

Apr 29, Kathmandu- Tensions have been rising between the two countries since the Pahalgam attack, with the Pakistani military claiming to have shot down an Indian quadcopter drone near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Tuesday, amid rising tensions following the Pahalgam attack.

Tensions have been rising between the two countries since the April 22 attack that killed 26 people, including a Nepali. It was one of the deadliest armed attacks in the disputed Himalayan region since 2000.

The Kashmir Resistance, also known as The Resistance Front, said it had “categorically” denied involvement in the attack after initially claiming responsibility for the incident.

“Pakistan has successfully shot down an Indian quadcopter across the Line of Control, thwarting a violation of its airspace,” state-run Radio Pakistan and PTV News reported, citing security sources.
