May 02, Kathmandu- The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has said that an investigation is underway into the death of Prisha Sah, a student who was found dead at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Odisha.

Expressing condolences to Shah's family, the ministry said that it has been in constant touch with the Odisha state government since it received information about the incident.

The ministry's press release also states that the Odisha government has provided full support to the victim's family and that the Odisha Police is conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.

The statement said, "The government has stated that it takes the safety of all international students very seriously. It is also in constant coordination with the Government of Nepal, the State Government of Odisha and the KIIT University administration for immediate exchange of information and necessary assistance."
