Filming Of The Movie 'Maitighar' In Takam Gaun

May 02, Kathmandu- The shooting of the movie 'Maitighar' has begun in Takam, a tourist village in Myagdi, where you can see the peaks of Gurja Churen and Dhaulagiri Himal from close range. Takam Gaun, Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-7, is known as the first tourist settlement along the Dhaulagiri trekking route. This is the first time that the movie has been shot here.

The locals welcomed the team of producers and artists who arrived in the village to shoot a big-screen film with music and dance. On that occasion, Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality Chairman Prem Pun and Ward Chairman Ashok Khatri inaugurated the filming after performing prayers at the local temple.

Rural Municipality Chairman Pun said that the filming of the film in this village, which is covered by the circular Dhaulagiri trekking route, the guerrilla trekking route and the Dhorpatan Jaljala trekking route, will help in introducing it to the country and abroad. Takam Gaun, which is located in front of the eyes and is surrounded by traditional stone houses, looks charming. The film's producer Rohit Adhikari informed that out of the 40 days of filming, 20 days will be shot in Takam and Dharapanigaun, while the remaining scenes will be shot in the Darbang and Tatopani areas of Myagdi.

The film, which has begun shooting with the aim of releasing during the upcoming Dashain festival, features actors including Dheeraj Magar, Kedar Ghimire 'Magne Budha', Prakash Saput, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Shyamashree Sherpa, Buddhi Tamang, Shishir Bangdel and others in the lead roles.

The film, directed by Milan Tamang, will be shot by Susan Prajapati. The film, presented by Rohit Adhikari Films, is produced by Adhikari, Robin Sherchan and Dheeraj Tamang, while the executive producers are Ishwor Shrestha and Neeraj Katuwal.
