May 03, Kathmandu- The highest number of foreign tourists have entered Nepal in April 2025.

According to the data provided by the Nepal Tourism Board, 116,490 foreign tourists have visited Nepal in April alone. The board has stated that the arrival of foreign tourists in Nepal in April has set a record.

In April, the highest number of tourists entered Nepal from India, 25,933, from the US, 10,053, from China, 9,037 and from the United Kingdom, 6,838. According to the latest data, the number of Indian and Chinese tourists has not increased.

According to the board, there has been an increase in foreign tourist arrivals by 106.5 percent compared to 2019. Before the Corona pandemic, the highest number of 109,399 foreign tourists visited Nepal in April 2019.

In April 2024, 101,11,376 foreign tourists visited Nepal, while in April 2023, 98,773 tourists entered Nepal.

Deepakraj Joshi, the chief executive officer of the board, said that the arrival of tourists in April was encouraging. "This increase is a testament to Nepal's enduring appeal and tourism culture," he said.

According to the board's data, 415,048 tourists have entered Nepal during the four months of the year (January-April). 79,991 foreign tourists came to Nepal in January, 96,880 in February, and 121,800 in March.
