May 03, Kathmandu- Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah, who is on a visit to India, has held separate meetings with three departmental ministers of Uttarakhand Province.
Chief Minister Shah met with the Forest, Tourism and Agriculture Ministers of Uttarakhand in a bilateral meeting and discussion program organized in Dehradun on Friday, according to his secretariat.
Shah met Uttarakhand Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj and Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi. During the discussions, the focus was on mutual cooperation, exchange of experiences and the potential for sectoral development between the two states.
In the discussions on forest and tourism promotion, serious discussions were held between the states on the development of religious, cultural and natural tourist destinations, creation of employment and possibilities for earning foreign exchange.
The Chief Minister's Secretariat has stated that during the meeting with Tourism Minister Satpal, special discussions were held on the possibility of promoting 'Manasakhand Circuit', 'Spiritual Tourism' and 'OLness Tourism'.
Similarly, during the meeting with Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi, discussions were held on the possibilities of agricultural cooperation between Nepal and India, use of modern technology, seasonal and geographically adapted agricultural systems, exchange of seeds and technical assistance. In addition, discussions were held on the development of an understanding to cooperate in promoting natural and organic farming.
Chief Minister Shah's meeting is being considered as an important opportunity for expanding state-level diplomatic relations and regional development.
