Israeli Cabinet To Decide On Expanding Military Operation In Gaza

May 04, Kathmandu- The members of the Israeli cabinet are going to vote on whether or not to expand the military operation in the Gaza Strip of Palestine.

The country's powerful security cabinet is set to meet Sunday evening to decide whether to expand the war in Gaza, an Israeli official told the Associated Press.

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gurion said in an interview with Israeli Army Radio that he wanted to expand the war, but did not elaborate.

“We must increase the intensity of the attack and continue until we achieve complete victory. We must achieve complete victory,” he said.

Meanwhile, the army has begun calling up thousands of reserve soldiers, a military official said. More than 18 months after the start of the war, the plan to further expand the war in Gaza has come. The humanitarian crisis in the region is deepening, according to media reports.

In an attempt to force the terrorist group Hamas to negotiate a new ceasefire on Israel's terms, Israel blocked the entry of goods into Gaza in early March. This has reportedly pushed the territory of 2.3 million people into its worst humanitarian crisis.

An eight-week ceasefire between Israel and Hamas temporarily halted fighting and led to the release of Israeli prisoners. However, the ceasefire collapsed in March.

According to local health authorities, hundreds of Palestinians have died since the war resumed.
