May 04, Kathmandu- The CPN-Maoist Center is set to launch the Mid-Hill Highway Campaign from Jestha 2. The decision to launch the campaign was taken at a meeting of party office bearers held at the residence of party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.
"The meeting discussed in detail the public trust in the Maoists, the campaign's preparations, action plan, and organizational aspects. The meeting also decided to launch the 'Central Highlands Highway Campaign' from Jestha 20," Prachanda's secretariat said.
Similarly, the meeting reviewed the Tarai-Madhes Jagran Campaign. The campaign focused on the postal highway from Jhapa to Kanchanpur was reviewed by the officials led by Chairman Prachanda.
The Maoists claim that the campaign has succeeded in strengthening national unity. 'The said campaign has become a campaign not only of the Maoist Center but of the entire nation. We express our gratitude to the people who participated in the campaign,' the Prachanda Secretariat said.
