May 05, Kathmandu- The Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP) has sought a response from the government regarding the arrest of its patron Resham Chaudhary.
In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, NUP MP Lalbir Chaudhary warned that he would quit the government if the Prime Minister did not respond in the meeting tomorrow. He objected to the kidnapping of the party's patron Chaudhary and taking him to Dillibazaar on April 17, when the process of unification of NAUPA and Janamat Party was underway.
He said, "The government has not yet expressed its opinion on this. Therefore, if the Prime Minister or the Home Minister do not respond by the next day, we will be forced to quit the government."
