Nepal's land will not be allowed to be used against friendly country China: Deuba

May 05, Kathmandu- Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that Nepal's territory will not be used against China.

Addressing a program organized by the GP Koirala Foundation on Nepal-China relations in Kathmandu on Monday, he said that Nepal has adopted a one-China policy. “Nepal has adopted a one-China policy,” Deuba said, “I want to assure you that Nepal’s territory will not be allowed to be used against our friendly country, China.”

He stated that China has been supporting Nepal in areas including infrastructure development, trade, tourism, culture, climate change and environmental cooperation, and expressed confidence that it will continue to provide further assistance in the coming days.

"Friendly country China has been supporting Nepal in areas including infrastructure development, trade, tourism, culture, climate change and environmental cooperation," Deuba said. "I am confident that China will continue to support Nepal's development in the coming days."

He also emphasized the need to deepen cultural and educational ties between the two countries.
