Indian Arrested With Brown Sugar In Siraha

May 05, Kathmandu- Police have arrested an Indian youth with more than five grams of brown sugar in Siraha.

Dharmendra Yadav, aged around 35, of Kamalabari Panchayat 6, Madhubani district, Bihar, India, was arrested by the police on Sunday night with five grams 480 milligrams of brown sugar from Khairtoka, Siraha Municipality-17.

A joint team deployed from the Area Police Office, Madar and the Armed Police Force Border Security Force, Madar, conducted a search of the shop based on a special tip-off that Dharmendra himself was involved in drug dealing at the Ajay Hotel and Liquor Store in Madar. The drugs were found hidden in an empty beer carton, said DSP Birendra Kumar Paswan, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Siraha.

The District Police Office, Siraha, has extended the remand of the arrested Yadav by six days from the District Court, Siraha, and necessary investigation is underway, the District Police Office, Siraha, has informed.
