KMC Urges Schools To Allow Students To Communicate In Nepali

May 05, Kathmandu- Kathmandu Metropolitan City has instructed students to communicate in Nepali.

The directive came after widespread complaints from parents that some schools operating within the metropolis had banned students from communicating in Nepali within the school premises. The metropolis today issued a circular to all community and institutional schools asking them to allow students to communicate in Nepali even if the medium of instruction is English.

In addition, the metropolis has warned that the practice of punishing or fining students for communicating in Nepali should be immediately stopped.
