May 06, Kathmandu- MP Eknath Dhakal has said that the agreement made with the Nepal Teachers' Federation should be implemented in the upcoming budget.
Speaking in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, MP Dhakal said, "As soon as the government agreed to the demands of the agitating teachers, the government has made a letter of thanks by taking 8 decisions from the Council of Ministers meeting to address the demands immediately. Now it is the turn to implement the agreement made. Therefore, the government should implement the agreement made with the teachers through the upcoming budget."
MP Dhakal claimed that teachers have still not been able to gain trust because governments in the past have shown generosity in making agreements and have been lenient in implementing them. He stressed that the current accountable government should not delay in implementing the agreement made with the teachers.
