UML Leader Pradeep Nepal Passes Away While Undergoing Treatment

May 06, Kathmandu- Former minister and CPN-UML leader Pradeep Nepal has passed away.

UML leader and writer Pradeep Nepal, who had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for a long time, has passed away at the age of 72. Nepal's brother and UML leader Samir Nepal informed that the hospital announced his death. Leader Nepal was taken to Norvic Hospital in Thapathali for treatment after developing serious health problems. The hospital administration has stated that Leader Nepal had a serious chest infection and was taken to the hospital in a serious condition. Leader Nepal was treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Born on 28th Poush, 2010 in Gogane village of Bhojpur, Nepal Communist Party (ML) is known as an important leader in the establishment of the Nepal Communist Party (ML) through the Coordination Center. He started his political career as a member of the Sagarmatha Independent Students Union in 2026 BS.

His main genres in literature were novels, stories, travelogues, song writing, and singing. His novel 'Deumaiko Kinar', based on the biography of Ratna Kumar Bantawa, a fellow warrior during the establishment of ML, was later released as a video film. Apart from this, countless literary materials of his are available in the market. Poet Manjul (Meghraj Nepal) is his brother.
