India says: Attack on Pakistan is a response to terrorist attacks

May 07, Kathmandu- India has called the attack on Pakistan a response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs held a press conference on Wednesday morning to brief the press about India's move after the missile attacks on nine places in Pakistan. Indian Foreign Ministry Secretary Vikram Mishra said that the terrorists targeted tourists that day with the aim of disrupting the normal situation in Kashmir.
He also claimed that India has evidence of Pakistan's role in the attack in Kashmir, according to international news agency Reuters. 'A group called the Resistance Front (RTF) has claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam attack. This group is linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, so Pakistan's links are clearly established,' he said.
Despite global concerns about the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Pakistan's role in the attack is clear, as it has not taken any action to destroy terrorist networks operating from its soil, Mishra said.
He clarified that India carried out the attack on Wednesday morning in response to cross-border terrorism. He also said that the attack was carried out targeting terrorist hideouts, Reuters reported.
Pakistan has already said that it will respond to the Indian attack. It has also claimed to have shot down 5 fighter jets shot down by the Indian side.
Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Home Minister Amit Shah and others have written on social media that 'Operation Sindoor' has been launched against terrorism.
The United Nations, the United States and China have already reacted to the Indian attack. The United Nations has urged both countries to exercise restraint, while China has called the attack regrettable. China is closely monitoring the incident and has urged both sides to exercise restraint. US President Donald Trump has expressed hope that the attacks will stop.
