May 07, Kathmandu- Four Indian fighter jets have been shot down in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir after an air strike. The Pakistani military has claimed that five Indian fighter jets have been shot down.
According to news reports quoting the Indian military, one fighter jet crashed in Pampore in Pulwama, Indian-occupied Kashmir.
The second fighter jet crashed in Akhnoor in Kashmir and the third in Ramban, Indian media reported. Another fighter jet crashed in Punjab. The fighter jet crashed in Bathinda, Punjab. It is not clear whether the fighter jet was shot down by Pakistan or if it crashed.
Indian Air Force officials said that they have not yet confirmed that the Indian fighter jet was shot down. Instead, they argue that a Pakistani JF-17 fighter jet may have crashed.
But after India's air strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK, three fighter jets crashed in Jammu and Kashmir and one in Punjab.
