Indian action continues for the second day, explosion in Lahore, Pakistan claims to have shot down 12 drones

May 08, Kathmandu-  Firing is ongoing along the Line of Control amid high tensions between the two countries after India launched missile strikes on nine locations in Pakistan on Tuesday. Indian and Pakistani media outlets are accusing each other of ceasefire violations.

An Indian soldier has been killed in an attack by the Pakistani army. Meanwhile, the Pakistani army has said that India has continued its military operations against Pakistan for the second night. Pakistani army spokesman Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry claimed that 12 Indian drones were shot down by the Pakistani army on Wednesday night. According to Dunya News, he also said that a huge explosion occurred in Lahore. He claimed that the explosion was caused by an Indian drone.

Earlier on Tuesday night, India had claimed that it had carried out missile strikes targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir and Pakistani territory. On the other hand, Pakistan said that 46 civilians were killed in the Indian attack. Pakistan claims to have shot down five Indian fighter jets in the process. However, this has not been independently confirmed.
