May 09, Kathmandu- The Human Rights and Peace Society has demonstrated in front of the Indian Embassy today (Friday) to end the tension between India and Pakistan. The society, led by its founding president Krishna Pahadi, demonstrated.
They reached the Indian Embassy in Lainchaur and protested saying, "Stop the war, promote peace."
Tensions are currently high between India and Pakistan. The two neighboring countries exchanged fire throughout the night on Thursday. Indian and Pakistani media reported that firing took place not only along the Line of Control that separates the two countries, but also along the international border between India and Pakistan.
Indian media reported that the Pakistani army had carried out airstrikes on more than 15 places in India. The Indian side claims that an Indian woman was killed in Uri in the Pakistani attack.
The Indian side claims to have shot down three Pakistani fighter jets and a spy plane. India claims to have shot down two JF-17s and one F-16 and a spy plane.
On the other hand, Pakistan claims that it did not attack India in this way. However, explosive incidents have occurred in more than a dozen places in India.
Earlier, India had attacked 9 different places in Pakistan on Tuesday night, in which 31 people were killed, according to Pakistan.
At least 16 people, including a soldier, have also been killed on the Indian side.
