May 10, Kathmandu- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has spoken to Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir.
Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has given information about his conversation with Marco Rubio on his X account. He said, “This morning I spoke to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. India’s stance has always been restrained and responsible and will remain so in the future as well.”
Along with this, the US has issued a statement regarding the talks with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. The statement said, “US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. Secretary Rubio emphasized that both sides should find ways to communicate directly with each other so that tensions are reduced and there are no misunderstandings.”
In addition, Secretary of State Rubio also offered that the US could help facilitate talks between the two countries to avoid any future conflicts.
Meanwhile, the US has also issued a statement regarding the talks with Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir.
The statement said, “Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir this morning. During the meeting, he appealed to both sides to find ways to reduce tensions and offered US support to initiate talks to avoid future conflicts.”
