May 10, Kathmandu- Pakistan has announced a counter-offensive against India. The Pakistan Army's public relations department said that it has launched a counter-offensive against India, accusing Delhi of launching missiles at three Pakistani air bases.
Pakistan has named the counter-attack 'Operation Banyan Mersus'. Earlier, India had accused Pakistan of attacking its territory, but Pakistan had said that it would start the attack only after announcing it.
Immediately after Pakistan's announcement, an explosion was reported in the Dibber area of Udhampur in Indian-administered Kashmir. Alarm sirens have been continuously sounded in the area.
With the announcement of the counter-attack, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has decided to close its airspace from 3:15 am to 12 noon local time on Saturday.
There was shelling in the Indian Jammu and Kashmir region on Friday evening as well. It is said that shelling took place in Kupwara, Karnah, Tangdhar, Uri and Poonch throughout the night. However, India has not responded to Pakistan's announcement.
