India Provides 15 Electric Vehicles For Sagarmatha Sambaad

May 11, Kathmandu- The Government of India has provided 15 electric vehicles as support for the first edition of the Sagarmatha Sambaad.

The vehicles, provided under the Nepal-India Cooperation Program, were handed over to Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba by Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava at a ceremony organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.

On that occasion, Foreign Minister Rana thanked the Government of India for its support.

She emphasized that since climate change is a common challenge not only for Nepal but also for the region, mutual coordination and collective efforts are necessary for its solution. Minister Dr. Rana informed that all preparations for the Sagarmatha Dialogue to be organized on May 16-18 have reached the final stage.

On the occasion, Ambassador Srivastava spoke about the support that the Indian government has been providing in Nepal's economic, social and other sectors and expressed happiness over providing vehicles for the Sagarmatha Sambad.

He also said that the challenge of climate change is a common problem in this region and the Indian government stands with Nepal in the measures to be adopted to solve it.
