May 12, Kathmandu- The release date of the film 'Rimai' starring Dayahang Rai and Rishma Gurung in the lead roles has been fixed. Releasing the poster on Monday on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, the producer said that the film will be released worldwide from 27 Bhadra.

The 'Kabaddi' film will see the duo again on screen in the film directed by Khil Bahadur Gurung. Some of the posters released feature Dayahang, Rishma, and Gaumaya Gurung.

The film has been made based on Gurung rituals and culture. The film is presented by Gorkha Siranchowk and Ligligkot Films Pvt. Ltd. and in collaboration with Roteping Entertainment.

It also stars Buddhi Tamang, Arpan Thapa, Kavita Ale Magar, Maotse Gurung, Pushkar Gurung, Birmaya Gurung, Birbal Ghale, DV Gurung, Tek Gurung and child artists Asim Subba, Prestu Gurung and Prasna Rana Magar.

The film, written by Upendra Subba, is shot by Shailendra Dhoj Karki. The film, executive produced by Birbal Ghale, is produced by Tika Gurung, Jit Yatri Gurung and Dun Bahadur Ghale. Binu Gurung, Roshan Bhattarai and Rajesh Ghimire are co-producers.

Music by Deepak Sharma and Thaneshwor Gautam, Kiran Chamling Rai is the chief assistant director, Bishnu Mainali is the production manager and Mitra D Gurung is the editor.
