May 12, Kathmandu- Nepal has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U-19 Championship in India.
Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 5-0 in the match held at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in India on Sunday night to make it to the last four. Sujan Dangol, Dharvendra Kunwar, Subash Bam Thakuri, Bijan Khadka and Lakshku Thapa scored the goals for Nepal in the one-sided match.
With Nepal's win, India has also qualified for the semi-finals from Group 'B'. Sri Lanka, who have lost two consecutive matches, has been eliminated. Sri Lanka was defeated by India 8-0 in the first match.
Nepal and India will compete in the final match of the group on Tuesday. The result of this match will decide the group winner.
