May 12, Kathmandu- One person died in a motorcycle accident in Dana, Annapurna Rural Municipality-3, Myagdi this morning.

The accident occurred when a motorcycle (Ga 16 Pa 6164) coming from Dana towards Beni collided with a bus (Ga 2 Kha 2139) going from Beni towards Jomsom along the Beni-Jomsom-Korla road.

The motorcycle driver, Aftap Salman, aged around 20, from Birgunj, died on the spot, said Shyam Bahadur Rana, Chief of the Area Police Office, Dana. Aftap had been running a motorcycle repair center in Dana. The bus driver stopped his vehicle on his side after seeing the motorcycle coming towards him at a high speed. Eyewitnesses said that the accident occurred when the motorcycle suddenly came into contact with the vehicle.
