May 12, Kathmandu- The Department Of Roads and Kathmandu Metropolitan City have issued a 35-day ultimatum to remove unauthorized structures within 15/15 meters on the right and left sides of Jadibuti to Pepsicola Road.
In a joint notice published on Monday, the concerned person has been instructed to demolish or remove the structures constructed without or in violation of the map pass.
According to the notice, the Ministry of Physical Planning and Construction published a notice in the Gazette on 18 Mangsir 2058 BS that established the road boundary 15/15 meters on the right and left sides from the center line of the road from Jadibuti Chowk to Pepsicola Chowk.
On 10 Baisakh, the Government of Nepal and local government bodies jointly installed the demarcation marks. If the structures are not removed within the stipulated 35 days, action will be taken as per Section 19 of the Public Roads Act, 2031 BS, the Local Government Operation Act and the Building Construction Standards, the notice states.
