An incident in India has taught us that one should only avail the service after getting good information about the place and the specialist to get the hair transplantation done.
A government engineer has died in India while undergoing a hair transplant. 37-year-old Vineet Kumar Dubey, a resident of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, lost his life while attempting to undergo a hair transplant.
According to a report published in the Times of India, the incident took place two months ago, but it has only recently gained attention after a police complaint was filed.
37-year-old Vineet was working as an assistant engineer at the Panki Power House in Kanpur. He was living in the company's Officer Colony with his wife and two children.
On March 11, his wife Jaya Tripathi went to her maternal home in Gonda to celebrate Holi with her children. On March 13, to surprise her when she came home, Vineet went to a clinic in Kanpur for a hair transplant. Which was being run by an MBBS doctor named Anushka Tiwari.
As soon as Anushka gave him a painless injection for a hair transplant, Vineet's face started swelling. As his condition worsened, he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. Vineet died during treatment at the Regency Hospital in Kanpur.
Two months after the incident, wife Jaya filed a complaint against Dr. Anushka at Rawatpur police station on Saturday.
According to wife Jaya, she received a call from an unknown number on March 14. “Vineet’s face is swollen, he has been admitted to the hospital,” the call was disconnected as soon as it was said. Jaya tried calling the number again but it did not work. She also had the number of the doctor at the hair transplant clinic, she called it, but it was also switched off.
She then informed her uncle in Kanpur about the matter. When they went for a checkup, Vineet's condition had become critical. He died the next day.
She has filed an FIR alleging that her husband died due to negligent treatment.
Following Jaya's complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused doctor for causing death due to negligent treatment.
