'Employee service facilities should be made timely' : MP Mohammad Khalid

May 13, Kathmandu- MP Mohammad Khalid has urged to make the service facilities of the employees timely.

Participating in the discussion in the assembly regarding the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2082-83 in today's meeting of the National Assembly, MP Khalid emphasized the need to increase the service facilities of the civil servants to control corruption in the country.

"The budget and limited resources have not been distributed and prioritized fairly. There is hope for improvements in the upcoming budget, and there was no mention of postal roads," he said. "It is good that fundamental rights and the directive principles of the state are addressed. But there is a need for citizen-friendly services and good governance."

He said that agriculture in the Terai Madhesh cannot become self-reliant without providing irrigation facilities and fertilizers. MP Khalid stressed that quality education should be available and these should be included in the upcoming budget.

Similarly, MP Shekhar Kumar Singh said that Nepal should focus on implementing the policy brought in the agricultural sector to establish a grain reserve, tourism development, economic development, and life-useful education.

‘The government is serious about building physical infrastructure and housing. I am confident that it will be completed on time. Implementing the policy of providing quality drinking water is equally important,’ he said, ‘Strengthening the revenue system, formulating production and investment-friendly revenue is a solid foundation for the state.’ Singh expressed confidence that the budget will be brought considering all seven provinces.

Similarly, MP Rukmini Koirala said that promotional programs should be taken forward to promote commercial farming, utilize barren land, develop water-rich projects, and increase the contribution of the tourism sector.

MP Jhakku Prasad Subedi said that there is no principle or priority that will significantly improve the living standards of Nepal.

MP Kamala Pant said that bringing policies and programs by remembering constitutionalism and the constitution is a good aspect of policies and programs.
