May 16, Kathmandu- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stressed the need to support vulnerable countries that have no role in climate change. Addressing the inaugural session of the Sagarmatha Sambaad, which began today, he said that the world community needs to unite to save the mountains, which play a significant role in environmental protection.
Prime Minister Oli said, "Those who pollute the most should contribute the most, they should support vulnerable countries through finance, technology, and capacity building."
The Sagarmatha Dialogue, which will be held for three days, will be attended by representatives from more than three dozen countries around the world and 61 regional and multilateral international organizations, including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, BIMSTEC, SAARC, and others.
