Israel Releases Ten Palestinians

May 17, Kathmandu- The Israeli army has released ten Palestinians who were arrested during its latest military operation in the Gaza Strip.

According to local Palestinian sources, the released persons were taken to the "Al-Aqsa Hospital of Martyrs" in Deir al-Balah in the center of Gaza for treatment.

The International Committee of the Red Cross said in a statement that the operation facilitated the release of detainees and their transfer to hospitals.

Also, it is said that the process is helpful in re-meeting and establishing contact between the released persons and their families.

Israel is accused of detaining thousands of women, children and other civilians in the Gaza Strip, many of whom have been forcibly disappeared. At the same time, it is said that around 60 Palestinians have died due to torture in Israeli custody.
