In Missouri, seven people were killed, including five in St. Louis, where around 5,000 buildings were damaged, power lines were downed, and widespread roof destruction occurred. About 140,000 properties across both states lost power. Emergency crews in St. Louis, where at least 38 people were injured, are conducting house-by-house searches for survivors. The National Weather Service reported the tornado first touched down near Forest Park in St. Louis shortly after 2:30 p.m. local time. Authorities in both states say search and rescue efforts are ongoing.
