May 19, Kathmandu- The writ of habeas corpus filed against Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has been filed today as well. The session was presided over by Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, who personally oversaw the proceedings.

A joint bench of Justice Nityanand Pandey, including Raut, is scheduled for the hearing of the case. The process experienced multiple delays, with previous hearings postponed due to the inability of parties to appear. Out of six scheduled sessions, only one was conducted, while five were postponed.

Lawyers representing Rabi Lamichhane expressed concerns over the repeated delays, particularly highlighting the issue of postponements in sensitive cases such as habeas corpus petitions. They emphasized the need for timely proceedings to uphold justice.
