May 19, Kathmandu- The trailer of the much-awaited film ‘Mahabhoj’ directed by Dinesh Raut has been in the headlines since its release. The trailer, which was released at an event organized in Kathmandu on Sunday, has made it to the forefront of YouTube trends. The trailer, which started trending within three hours of its release, is garnering positive feedback from the audience and has been viewed nearly 500k times so far. The audience has received widespread positive feedback saying that it “gives a sense of reality”, “touches the emotions” and “gives a fair voice to the oppressed sections of society”.

With the popularity of the trailer, the demand for the film's release abroad has also started increasing. 'Mahabhoj', which was earlier scheduled to be released in Japan, the Middle East and Australia, will now be screened in the UK and Korea. Director Dinesh Raut informed that there are demands for the film's release from many other countries as well.

The trailer of ‘Mahabhoj’ presents the tragic story of those who suffered after their savings in a cooperative organization sank. The film stars actors like Dayahang Rai, Aryan Sigdel, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraili, Malika Mahat, Gaumaya Gurung, Basundhara Bhusal and Mohan Niraula in the lead roles. The trailer poignantly depicts the pain of cooperative victims, the psychological anguish of employees and the stories of those who manipulate politics.
