May 20, Kathmandu- The European Union (EU) delegation here has gathered 21 ambassadors and representatives based in New Delhi with the aim of informing the member states of the European Union (EU) about the political, social and economic situation in Nepal, as well as the impacts of climate change and green growth, good governance, innovation and inclusive development.
The EU delegation, which is on a three-day visit, will include the EU's resident ambassador and representative here, the delegation said. The visit will help the EU diplomatic team understand Nepal's development priorities and identify areas of cooperation, the delegation said in a statement issued today.
While here, the team is scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss Nepal's domestic and foreign policy issues, as well as hold separate discussions with representatives of civil society, the private sector, and the media sector.
It is said that the diplomatic team will visit the Nepal Electricity Authority to learn about its activities and visit historical sites in Patan and Bhaktapur.
