Dengue Infections Increase As Summer Heat Increases

Local citizens have complained that the outbreak of mosquitoes has increased in the district with the onset of the summer season. It is said that the Gaur Municipality area of ​​Rautahat is at the forefront of dengue-affected areas. The District Health Office, Rautahat, has stated that the number of dengue-infected people is high in various wards of the municipality. To reduce the problem, the municipality has planned to spray fogging in all wards, informed the Officiating Administrative Officer of the municipality, Subhash Kumar Thakur.

The local hospital has stated that due to the increasing pressure of dengue patients in local health institutions, there is a shortage of medicine and tests.

It is said that the Public Health Office, Rautahat has started a campaign to spread awareness about dengue in the community. To control dengue infection, the Chief of the District Public Health Office, Rautahat, Dr. Ramesh Yadav has urged people to prevent water from accumulating around their homes. Residents have demanded that health services be strengthened, citing the possibility of further spread of dengue infection.
