May 22, Kathmandu- The Supreme Court of Nepal has today kept the hearing of the writ petition filed by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently detained in habeas corpus case with a cooperative, on an 'Under Review' status.
The bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Bal Krishna Dhakal has pending the case, with no final decision issued. Although the legal arguments presented by Lamichhane’s lawyers and former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Chhabilal Joshi were concluded today, the court has decided to keep the case under observation.
The court indicated that the case remains on 'under review', as the arguments from the plaintiff’s side are yet to be heard. The proceedings continue to be closely monitored as the judicial process advances.
