May 23, Kathmandu- The Supreme Court has concluded the hearing on the writ petition filed against Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane seeking habeas corpus.
The hearing, which began last Tuesday and was held in a bench of Justices Dr. Nahakul Subedi and Balkrishna Dhakal, concluded on Friday. An order is yet to be issued on the writ petition.
Today, legal practitioners who filed the complaint against Rabi Lamichhane and Chhabilal Joshi had a discussion.
Senior advocates Surendra Bhandari, Dinesh Tripathi, and advocate Ramchandra RC Gautam argued on Friday.
Immediately after, Rabi and Chhabi's legal practitioners presented their rebuttal arguments.
Advocates Sushil Kumar Panta and Raman Kumar Shrestha and Satish Krishna Kharel presented their rebuttal arguments.
The Butwal bench of the Tulsipur High Court had ordered Lamichhane to be detained.
He has been detained in the Rupandehi District Jail since that order.
