May 23, Kathmandu- The third national conference of the National Medical Association of Nepal has begun in Chitwan.
The conference, which began on Friday, will last for two days.
The association held a press conference in Kathmandu on Thursday and announced that preparations for the program were complete.
National Medical Association President Dr. Jageshwor Gautam had said that the two-day conference to be held in Chitwan would also determine the new leadership of the association.
Chairman Dr. Gautam said that the association has always been active for the professional rights and interests of doctors.
He mentioned that the organization has recently been pressuring the state to create an environment for doctors to live in their own country.
At the program, National Medical Association advisor Dr. Krishna Adhikari said that the association has raised its voice for the doctors not getting facilities as per the Labor Act.
There are preparations to unanimously elect the leadership. It is understood that there are internal preparations to make Dr. Bikash Gauchan the president.
