May 24, Kathmandu- Hindi cinema has been shocked by the sudden demise of its popular actor Mukul Dev. Mukul Dev had worked in recent films like 'Son of Sardaar', 'R...Rajkumar', 'Jai Ho'.

54-year-old Mukul Dev died on Friday night. His friends reached his home after receiving the news of his death on Saturday. The cause of his death has not been confirmed. Indian media reported that an official statement from his family and friends is awaited.

His close friend and actress Deepshikha Nagpal has confirmed this news on social media. She shared an old picture on her Instagram story and wrote, “RIP”. Mukul Dev was last seen in the Hindi film ‘Anth the End’ opposite Divya Dutta. He is the younger brother of actor Rahul Dev.

Mukul Dev, who made his acting debut with the TV series 'Mumkin' (1996), hosted the first season of 'Fear Factor India'. He started his film career with 'Dastak' in which he played the role of ACP Rohit Malhotra. It was also the debut film of former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen.
