May 24, Kathmandu- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has informed that Moscow is preparing a draft document containing the necessary conditions for a long-term peace agreement with Ukraine. According to him, this draft will be presented after the exchange of prisoners is completed.
In a statement published on the Russian Foreign Ministry website, Foreign Minister Lavrov said Russia is committed to a peaceful resolution to the more than three-year-old war with Kyiv.
He also mentioned that air traffic in Russia has been affected due to the continuous drone attacks by Ukraine in recent times.
Lavrov accused European countries of inciting Ukraine to thwart peace efforts led by US President Donald Trump, saying Russia has always been open to talks and is fully committed to a peaceful solution.
Stating that work is currently underway on the second phase of the agreement, Lavrov said the draft outlines the necessary conditions for a credible and lasting peace. He clarified that Russia will send the draft to Ukraine and is ready for further discussions after the prisoner exchange is completed.
