May 24, Kathmandu- Softwareica College of IT and E-Commerce has conducted a unique and effective awareness campaign aimed at spreading awareness about cybersecurity.
On Thursday, the college aired a special 30-minute video on LED screens in major cities across the country, beginning with a misleading message that suggested a 'digital breach' (cyber attack).
However, this video was a planned marketing campaign made to promote the college's B.Sc (Hons) in Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity course.
According to the college, the campaign has raised awareness among the general public by exposing the hidden cyber risks that are increasing with digital networks. The college also claims that such efforts have created a serious debate among the general public about the importance of cybersecurity.
As part of its ongoing drive to raise awareness about cybersecurity, Softwareica College is committed to equipping students with the BSc (Hons) in Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security degree program, run in partnership with Coventry University.
According to the college, the course aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge, practical skills, and ethical conduct in the field of cybersecurity.
The curriculum covers key topics including penetration testing, network security, digital forensics, malware analysis, and more. The college believes that through a balance of theoretical knowledge and practical practice, students will gain proficiency in identifying, preventing, and mitigating cyber threats.
