May 24, Kathmandu- CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that they are in the process of preparing the basis for a socialist revolution.

At a public dialogue program organized in Kaski on Saturday as part of the Pushpalal Lokmarg public awareness campaign, Prachanda said that the campaign launched by the Maoists on the Postal Route and Pushpalal Lokmarg was not just a tactical matter but a vision to prepare the basis for a socialist revolution. He asserted that the Maoists have the main responsibility to end political stability and corruption in the country through a new revolution and maintain economic prosperity. Prachanda stated that the country is now becoming Maoist-dominated and claimed that the Maoists will be the first party in the upcoming elections. He said that if the Maoists are the first party, the basis for socialism will be built.
