May 25, Kathmandu- The meeting of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee under the House of Representatives discussed the report of the subcommittee on the School Education Bill, 2080. The committee meeting held on Sunday discussed the Education Bill, 2080.
Speaking at the discussion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Pant said that he is committed to implementing the nine-point agreement reached with the Teachers' Federation. He said that his commitment is the nine-point commitment, as the representatives of the Teachers' Federation have also made the agreements made before the nine-point agreement part of the agenda for discussion.
He said, "I am committed to implementing the nine-point agreement I made. It is my commitment as a government minister. All the ruling coalition parties are committed to this and the Prime Minister himself is as well. There is a commitment in the case of the nine-point agreement, but now the issue is not just about the nine-point agreement. Friends in the Teachers' Federation have also been emphasizing the agreements made before the nine-point agreement as an agenda for discussion. Naturally, we will discuss that as well. But my commitment is the nine-point commitment. The government will implement the nine-point commitment to the best of its ability. We will discuss some of the unclear points in it with the representatives of the Teachers' Federation. And we will conclude."
He also said that this government cannot bear the demands that will cause financial burden this time. He said that there is no point in making a commitment that cannot be implemented in practice tomorrow.
He said, ‘This government cannot bear the demands that will cause financial burden this time. Our economy and income sources cannot do it. There is no point in us making a commitment that cannot be implemented in practice tomorrow.’
