Earthquake Jolts Jajarkot, Aftershock Felt In Surrounding Districts

May 26, Kathmandu- An earthquake measuring 4.3 magnitude struck the region at 2:25 pm today, with its epicenter located in Ramidada, Barekot Rural Municipality-1, Jajarkot district.

Chief Scientist Timsina of the Surkhet Seismological Center confirmed that the tremor was an aftershock related to previous seismic activity. He stated that the earthquake's impact was felt in several districts surrounding Jajarkot.

Authorities and residents are monitoring the situation, and no immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received. The seismological center continues to observe seismic activity in the region.
