May 27, Kathmandu- The House of Representatives has not yet resumed after opposition parties obstructed the meeting demanding the resignation of the Home Minister over the visit visa issue.
On Tuesday, opposition parties including the main opposition party, the CPN-Maoist Center, the National Independent Party, and the National Democratic Party disrupted the meeting demanding the resignation of the Home Minister.
They have also demanded an investigation into the Home Minister by forming a high-level investigation committee. Speaker Devraj Ghimire adjourned the meeting for half an hour after opposition party lawmakers continuously shouted slogans saying that the parliament cannot move forward until the Home Minister resigns.
The ruling party lawmakers, however, said that the Home Minister should be allowed to speak since he is present to answer the allegations against him.
The Speaker is adjourning the meeting and is holding internal discussions.
